GRAMMATICS vs BLUE ROSES PHOTOS

We put the coolest gig on this Monday gone at Nation Of Shopkeepers. What was supposed to be a chilled out accoustic jam session between Owen from Grammatics and Laura from Blue Roses turned out to be a sold out once in a life time spectacle. Sorry for those at the back who couldn't hear or see too well but we did advise to arrive early. Thanks to Bart Pettman for the photos.

Hi All, as you know we were asked to DJ at the launch night of Nation Of Shopkeepers along with Lovefoxx from CSS amongst many other cool people. Dinosaur Pile - Up and Old Romantic Killer Band were playing live. It was ace.  We also put on our own night the following Monday (Bank Holiday) with live performances from The XX, Post War Years, Brontide, Mi Mye, Pengillys, Just Handshakes (We're British) and Twisted and  dj sets from Rob Webb (Drowned in Sound, NME), Jumbo Records and Golden Owl.  Here are a bunch of photos from the Good Form Club Bank Holiday Monday do. Nation of Shopkeepers is a brand spanking sexy venue opening up in Leeds by the people behind North London institution the Lock Tavern, music promoters Adventures in the Beetroot Field, Field Day and Stag and Dagger Festivals, as well as the Amersham Arms in New Cross, Bungalows and Bears in Sheffield and Start the Bus in Bristol. We are super excited about the wide range of events that the club will host which includes comic book nights, gigs, hip hop karaoke and bingo, club nights, art exhibitions, record fairs and lots, lots more. And whats ace is that most of the events are FREE. Crazy times.

If you didn't think it could get any better then get this... creative agency YCN will be giving the venue a once over and making it look the dogs rod.

The launch night is on 22nd May with a special DJ set from Lovefoxxx from CSS as part of The Stag and Dagger festival.  We can't wait!
